German Occupational Hygiene Society (DGAH) celebrates its 25th anniversary

The German Occupational Hygiene Society (DGAH) represents a group of occupational health and safety experts, devoted to the promotion and development of occupational hygiene.

On 23 April the DGAH will celebrate its 25th anniversary in context of the 26th expert conference. The conference will take place at the IHK Cologne.

Nanomaterials and REACH – Background Paper on the Position of German Competent Authorities

The background paper presented by the German CAs reflects the position of the German federal authorities on the regulation of nanomaterials (NMs) under REACH. It is intended as a basis for preparing decision-making routes for political processes responses (e.g. Bundestag deputies or NGOs). This paper also deals with the regulatory needs relating to ultrafine fibres and particles.

Revision of TRGS 619 “Substitute materials for aluminium silicate wool products”

The “Technische Regeln für Gefahrstoffe (TRGS)” (Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances) are produced by the “Ausschuss für Gefahrstoffe (AGS)”, a committee associated with the German Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. TRGS 619 deals with „Substitute materials for aluminium silicate wool products”.
