ECFIA CARE Guidance library

Guidance documents on “Waste disposal” and “Removal” have been added to ECFIA´s CARE Guidance library. The library´s 20 documents have been written by industry experts and are designed to give customers of ECFIA members’ helpful information to put in place effective controls to minimise exposure to airborne fibres.

New CARE Guidance documents online

ECFIA further expands its CARE guidance library. Three new documents, on exposure reduction through use of alternative product forms and processes, on personal protective equipment and on training, were recently added.

New CARE Guidance documents online

ECFIA has published two new Level 3 documents on its CARE Guidance website, which explain how to control/reduce dust emission and worker exposure when using particular types of machinery.

DGAH presentation

On 5 December, Klaus Kamps, President of ECFIA, gave a presentation entitled “Safe handling of High Temperature Insulation Wool – CARE Guidance documents offer practical advice” at the 11th Conference on dangerous substances in Cologne organised by the German Occupational Hygiene Society.

New CARE Guidance documents online

The CARE Guidance documents represent ECFIA´s extensive expertise on the safe handling and use of HTIW products, gained through the CARE programme. Three new documents – on Module Manufacturing, Saws, and Raw Material Feeding – have been compiled by our occupational hygienists and are now available online.
